[close] Five hundred years ago, our goddess went missing. Like a flame dropped in water, the light fizzled out. Her temples went decrepit, her followers faded into the dark, and the world as we knew it was left in eternal night. Upon her disappearance, she left behind little orbs of sunshine, many dubbed them Ama Spheres, the government immediately took control of them, the entire world's powers uniting as one singular unit to control the people and the consumption of the spheres. The world today is a fast paced existence, industrial, always working in the favor of those with enough money to pay of their own personal debts, and never those who actually work, dwindling in the dim light of the lower cities, desperately scraping by for work. The worshipers, while lessening in abundance, still exist, waiting for their empress to return. The land is corrupt, a corporate tool for control. But what happens when an uncontrollable force suddenly appears? People who are born with the power to create the very light that's so regulated within the cities. People blessed by the long gone goddess, people hunted down by high level spies and assassins, used like conduits, strapped to machines for their energies and light to be absorbed.
