Dystopian Societies

[close] You are living in a dystopian society, and the end of World War 3 has just ended. The Americas are in three sectors, the English, The Rebels, and the Confederates. There is peace, but it is unsettling. There are secrets, mysterious murders, and unsettling feelings everywhere. There is the President, the ruler of the Earth. No one knows his true name, and no one knows his face, for he wears a mask. Will you choose to be a prisoner trying to escape, or a person of special royalty? Will you choose to be human or a cyborg? Will you choose to be a lone wolf or live a life of secret romance? The choice is up to you, but be warned. Death is awaiting around every corner. Don't get too comfortable......

[close] Welcome! If you want to walk alongside others in their quest to finish some of today's most interesting novels, then this is your bookclub! Here, we will dive into books in the dystopian, utopian, and post-apocalyptic genres and possibly many more. Although there are countless book groups similar to this, I wanted to give you another perspective and a fresher start to joining a club. Let's start readin'!

[close] A book club for those of us who enjoy the Post-Apocalyptic/Dystopian genre. Each month there will be a poll so we can find out what our next book will be. Create a new post and let everyone know in the title what it is you'd like to discuss (without any spoilers please!) How to hide spoilers: Placed and before and after the content you want to hide (without the spaces, of course). Another way to "hide" spoilers is to start a discussion letting everyone know in the title if your topic. (Example: "1984 - Chapter 1 - Had a question about Goldstein") That way if someone hasn't started the book or finished Chapter 1 they'll know that there may be spoilers in the discussion and can join in later. Polls and Bookshelf can be found here: POLLS BOOKSHELF Also if haven't already, please visit r/dystopianbooks on reddit (created by our own member SandHouse) for everything dystopian! http://www.reddit.com/r/dystopianbooks/
