Educational Philosophy

[close] Welcome, all! This is a bookclub where we can encourage one another in our pursuit and love of classical literature, and grow together in understanding. While not an explicitly religious group, many of the books and discussions will be inspired by traditional Christianity. The books included can be both fiction or non fiction, but will focus on thought provoking, influential, and pithy works.

[close] We read one education related book each month and meet to discuss it. goodreads is for sharing thoughts between meetings.

[close] Café Bibliothérapie is a social #LitTherapy book club that pairs fiction with non-fiction to encourage meaningful conversations about mental health & wellness. #LitTherapy nurtures self-understanding and empathetic perspective-taking to improve our ability to connect, communicate and care for others. We welcome mental health sufferers & caregivers, freaks & geeks, jocks & princesses, misfits & criminals to join us on our journey through #LitTherapy!

The idea is simple: authors share their work, and our community of readers actually engages with it not just a thumbs up, but real thoughts, honest feedback, and genuine conversation. If you'd like your book or manuscript featured, just reach out to the moderators. We will take a look and, once it's ready, introduce it to the community so members can dive in and share what they think what's working, what isn't, and everything in between. For readers and members, we'd love for you to get involved. Leave comments, join discussions, and show up for the authors putting their work out there. That kind of support means more than you'd think. And if you're an author who needs a little extra advice, recommendations, help getting your book in front of more people the moderators are always open to a conversation. Whatever stage you're at, you don't have to figure it out alone.
