Enemies

[close] I'm looking for books where the characters start off as enemies, preferably the hero being the one that despises the girl. It would make it even better if they were from different backgrounds but anyway, yeah I want for there to be betrayal, deceit, angst, longing, revenge, love, forgiveness. All of that good stuff! It could be that his family has been wronged by hers or vice versa. It could be that she 'humiliated' him and he wants her to pay. Any sort of book that involves this trope. Any suggestions please!!

They are creatures of the night, the supernatural Citizens can only dream exist. And sometimes they get in. That's where the Corps comes in. Specially selected Citizens are trained in the art of killing with one goal in mind: keep Them out and the City safe. A certain commander has other ideas, though. Why should the Corps wait for Them to come in? Why shouldn't the Corps send men to the Wastelands and eradicate the creatures before they get the chance to invade?
