[close] Reading a book (fiction/creative non-fiction/travel) every week or two or three then talking about it or whatever. The amount of time we have to read a given book is loosely based on the page count but pretty arbitrary. The real point of this club is to have people to talk with about the books we're reading at the moment. You'd be surprised how much more you'll want to read when your friends are reading the same thing at the same time. Understandably, you might not be super interested in what we're reading every week. Part of the book club's purpose is to get us reading outside our comfort zone so don't just skip the ones that don't look like they're up your alley: you'll be missing out on a chance to expand your horizons or some other cliche thing like that.
