[close] The land of Avantasia is split into four even parts. In Irrud, inhabitants have felines. In Durrak, the companions are canines. In Sitta, there are birds. And in Gennaia, people have reptiles for companions. There has been peace in these four lands for centuries, but all chaos is about to break free, when new kings, who want nothing but power and more land, are crowned. Join us in this epic fight for authority and land.

There are legends of an Oasis for canines and felines in an extremely secluded territory that is virtually cut off from the world. They live in the paradise that the Gods handcrafted for them. They have a lake that is known for it's crystal waters and it's healing properties. Life simply flourishes around it; therefore it is known as the Waters of Life. Many canines and felines, be they wolves, big cats, bobcats, coyotes, jackals, dogs, and foxes search for the paradise looking for a better life. The only way into the territory is through a pass in the mountains. The only problem is that when they make it into the territory, it is not exactly what most expect it to be. The pack is cursed with a disease.
