[close] Fried Frank as we know it came into being in 1971, with name partners Walter Fried, Hans Frank, Sam Harris, Sargent Shriver and Leslie Jacobson. In the Washington, DC office, the name change took effect in 1985, when partner Max Kampelman of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Kampelman returned to government service.
