[close] This book club is for book lovers in the Acworth, Georgia area who want to discuss books with others and don't want to have to travel far from home. We want honest and mature discussion of the books we read together. No idea or view is unacceptable. We welcome different perspectives. The books we choose will be chosen by majority rule. I would like to start with Southern writers and then branch out from there if the group agrees. Book choices can be suggested by any member. Pretty much anything goes except, please, no sexually-oriented books such as "Fifty Shades of Grey" or romance novels. We will meet monthly in a location to be determined at a later date by the group. The best day and time to meet will also be determined later. The moderator's suggestion is: Tuesday evenings from 6-8 pm at the West Cobb Regional Library in their meeting room. Some members may have church on Wednesday evenings and this library branch closes at 6 pm on Thursdays. (1750 Dennis Kemp Lane - Kennesaw, Georgia 30152 - (770) 528-4699 - Just east of Mars Hill Road and south of North Cobb Parkway NW/Highway 41 near Acworth.). The Acworth branch library in downtown does not have a meeting room. Eventually we may choose to meet at a coffee house or cafe, but I don't want to discourage people from joining if they feel that they are expected to pay for a drink or meal at meetings. Perhaps we can do this every three or four meetings if we like. Another possibility is meeting at a church that one of you belong to.

[close] This Savannah-based book club is organized through Meetup.com. This an additional way for us to stay connected, suggest new books, and see what everyone else is reading. It is also a great way for us to get exposure to online clubs and authors that might be willing to attend our club discussion of their book.

[close] A book club for residents of the NW Georgia area to meet and discuss books once a month. Sci-Fi and Fantasy are the favorites, but all genre's are equally loved and welcome.
