The fort itself is actually a "beacon" calling out to supernatural people and creatures, formed from a convergence of telluric currents and intersecting ley lines running under the town, which focus energy into a nexus of power beneath Fort Loyne. [close] Pantheonium was founded by a son of Poseidon, a daughter of Isis, a daughter of Brigid, and a son of Freyr. A safe haven for the children of any pantheon of gods. The school's symbol, a Pan-Hellenic Sun which represents the Olympian gods, was chosen as the crest for Pantheonium as the Grecian Gods were the Academy's biggest benefactors. Because the school promoted fraternization among those of different heritage, it was not uncommon for there to be demigods with lineages to more than one group of divines. Soon after, the gods began to follow their children's example, resulting in terrifying ichor disease that corrupts those infected, Sanguinare D'argento. Those who contracted the virus do not bleed gold, but instead a runny, silvery viscous substance, thinner than blood. Rumors of students ill with Sanguinare are no cause for concern, surely the Headmasters would have taken extra precautions to prevent such a deadly sickness to enter the school. Right?
