[close] "Comics" can be "weighty" and "complex", mainly when it comes to "Science" and "Medicine". This is because combining the “precise scientific” text with the “most relevant image” is hard because -with few exceptions- scientists are not talented artists. Vice-versa, artists are lacking in medical background. On the other hand, "Graphicpathographies" are illustrated by “heterogenous” group of people who describe their own experience (or their families/friends) of illness and treatment. This genre does not only articulate “emotions” and “patients' dilemma” so common to sickness, but they can serve as a powerful mean providing more useful guidelines to victims and their doctors.
