[close] The fog rolls over the water, it's surface as still and clear as glass. Birds distantly chirp but, the world is mostly stricken with silence. The reflection of a griffin rolls across the water, moving at a grand speed. The owner of such quick wings lands upon the shore with a sound thump, their claws briefly scrambling over the rocky shore. Upon their body, the finest armor trade could buy. Though, it appeared far from it's golden days for the once shiny surface had turned dull with scratches and mud. The griffin whom landed, covered in dirt, sweat, and blood, stumbled across the earth. Their feet unsteady and tired. And from a wound seeded deep within their left shoulder blade, blood pooled and painted the ground a crimson glare. The griffin finally collapsed on the stony surface, their breath shallow and quick. He stares upon the water before him, the lake looking much longer and wider than before. His eyes blur and distort his image, but he couldn't mistake what he was seeing. A griffin standing upon the water, their feathers as white as the snow that tops the mountains and their eyes as golden as the sun. Her figure nears him, looming over his crippled form. "Are you-" The wounded warrior attempted to speak to her, but one claw to his beak and he was silenced. "Valhalla is in need of no words, only you." Her words were smooth, but her voice was powerful as it spoke. To his surprise, the pain within his shoulder slowly dripped away. His face grew pale with hope, the once crippling weakness in his legs had discontinued. He stood slowly, gained his ground, and nodded to the Valkyrie. Valhalla is calling you, will you join the ranks of powerful warriors to earn your place by Odin or will you become a catalyst of the gods and heal the lands? The choice is yours in MFOW.
