[close] The books in this "club" can be from any and all genres -- as long as the book itself contains controversial subject matters, plot lines, characters, etc. Books that belong in this category made you angry, made you depressed, made you want to engage in an orgy, made you want to drop your religion (or join a new religion) and made you think twice about your political views. They made the literary world sit up and take notice, dammit! This club is not for the faint of heart, easily offended, or the shy. Come one and come all...if you dare :).
