[close] Did you know that newspapers rarely review self-published books? So, how are we supposed to find the best indie books out there? Jane Austen, William Blake, Virginia Woolf, E.E. Cummings, Emily Dickenson, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allen Poe, Mark Twain, Benjamin Franklin, John Grisham (A Time to Kill), and Stephen King ALL started out self-publishing? And this is just a very small list. Authors must get to their readers in very creative ways, and going indie is just one of them. I need your help. I'm looking for the best indie books out there to read, and I want your help to get to them. Write the titles of your favorite indie books under the categories where they fit. Please rate the book based on these three criteria: *One: Professionalism (grammar, does it flow and is not confusing, is the book formatted correctly, how professional is it). Give me 1 thru 5 stars; 1 means they didn't try, 5 means it matches the professionalism of traditionally published books) *Two: Entertainment (1 thru 5 stars; 1 means hate, 5 means love). It would be helpful if you provided a reason. *Three: What rating would it get if it were a movie? G, PG, PG13, R. This will help our readers decide which books they feel comfortable reading. *IF you are suggesting your own book, don't review it--except to give a 'movie' rating. Hopefully by submitting your book, someone else can see it and review of it. Do let us know what it's about.
