[close] Each of us buys a book on the group bookshelf: Your decision, no timetable. This is an AUTHOR GROUP for constructive feedback, and if warranted a review saying the reader liked it enough to recommend it stay published without any further, major edits. Also see the new "By-laws" thread. It's geared to disarm trolls from (mostly) outside GR, as the group might again soon be made public. Since we don't cross-review, new members are needed and 2 of the 3 original mods were put-off by sock-puppet-trolling; and that's a shame as mods are volunteers for a better reading community. Goodreads review etiquette is that of formal definition of the book as set in print, including at least one negative/room for improvement. Example: "_________ is a _____ book in the techno sci-fi/post apocalypse thriller genre [etc.].... Features it shows that help define that genre I'm familiar/unfamilar(?) with include________. Features I specifically liked and that also tripped me up a bit include_______. [Done]. No author or group-mod bashing will be tolerated. If you can't support an opinion from a literary/journalistic context, and a love of books, then find another group. Red flags of dishonesty are comments/reviews about a genre a reviewer's bio shows no familiarity with.
