Books provide a great source of insight and knowledge when trying to learn how to support a loved one who may be going through a similar journey as discussed in the book. We have found great strength and encouragement through books, and hope together we can share and discuss. Looking forward to reading so many great books together!

I'm an infertile romantic comedy author, and I've always wanted a safe space to share book recs that: 1) Feature no kids in them and/or 2) Feature an infertile hero/heroine 2A) ...one who never is "cured" of their infertility and 2B) ...who never acts in a ridiculous, villainous way (i.e. kidnapping a child because they're driven mad by grief, etc.) 2C) ...who doesn't NEED to adopt to be a complete person The world can be a very hostile place for the childless (and childfree), and sometimes we'd love to read a book that doesn't end with the message that the only happily-ever-after is a pregnant one. So let's talk about those kinds of books! (I set the subgroup as "romance," because I had to pick something, but any kinds of books welcome!) (Obligatory note: This is not a mom bashing club, or a place to bash books with pregnant characters. It's just a place to not have to read about things that can be very difficult for someone in the midst of grief. Thank you.)

[close] Starting from a small subreddit (IFChildfree), this group is for anyone who is childfree due to infertility, rather than by choice. We are looking for a way to embrace our future without children; even though we might not be there yet. We will discuss self-help books to get us on the path for a full life even though it's not what we imaged as well as fiction that doesn't have miraculous pregnancies or storyline revolving around motherhood as the only way to live a full life.
