[close] Culver Creek is a boarding school submerged in the lush countryside of Alabama - ok, so it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There’s a small town nearby, but that’s mostly for buying necessities. The key is never getting caught - or better yet, getting someone else to do it for you. The school is infamous for its ‘laisez faire’ approach between staff and student. That means classes are compulsory, along with homework and all that jazz. Detentions still exist, meals are still gross and rules attempt to keep the place together. They fail. It’s the extra-curicular activities that make the school what it is. With forests around them along with the huge creek in the centre, its no surprise that most free-time is spent outside. People host parties and campouts, and there’s usually a bonfire going on with alcohol and music - but like most things, its pretty secret. Sure the school is pretty split, but with no ratting out rule the students are pretty united in their aim to have a good time. People definitely try to make the most of their experience here at Culver Creek, whether they’ve been here from the tender age of fourteen or are newbies. The split comes between the regular boarders, and the Weekday Warriors (a name no one should be stupid enough to say to their face). Since Culver Creek’s term fees are already pretty expensive, it just comes down to two things: Where they live outside of school, and where they live in school. If you live in the closest and richest city in a big house, and find yourself in one of the more expensive dormitories - likelihood is you’ll get that nickname. It’s mostly just an issue when it comes to prank-offs - who can pull off the biggest prank. Either way, you’re sure to have the time of your life - so welcome to Culver Creek, we hope you don’t get expelled. This group is based off of John Green's book, Looking for Alaska.No characters or events from the actual book will be in the group! You don't have to read the book to join.
