[close] This is an intentional space to discuss foster care and parenting related books. We aim to connect members of our community together through discussion and reflection in hopes of furthering relationships, knowledge of best parenting practices, and the experience of youth in the child welfare system.

[close] Penny Williams is the author of the upcoming books, "Boy Without Instructions: Surviving the Learning Curve of Parenting a Child with ADHD" (6/1/14), and What to Expect When You're NOT Expecting ADHD (11/2014). Join this group to ask Penny questions about ADHD, parenting, sensory processing disorder, dysgraphia, written expression disorder, or anything else you can think of.

[close] Mental Illness. Eating Disorders. Sexual Assault. Domestic Violence. So many issues come with such a huge stigma attached. Education and understanding are the keys to ending stigma. Every month we will read another book tackling a stigmatized issue such as one of the ones listed above. Suggestions will be taken, different issues will be tackled, and both fiction and nonfiction books will be included. Be a stigma fighter, learn with me.
