[close] Welcome to the APL Online Book Club! This club is open to anyone and book selections will always be available through Hoopla, and/or CloudLibrary and Overdrive. All you need is your library card and a free Goodreads account to participate. Our discussion of "H is for Hawk" by Helen Macdonald, will begin on June 1. Let's read about first 7 chapters. The moderator will post questions on every Friday ( 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th) and you will be given a week to post your answers. We can always change. It's fun-reading so there won't be a long quiz, just 1-3 relevant questions. Everyone will get to see the questions and answers. Thanks.

[close] The New Year is always a good time to focus on how to live your life fully, as this is the subject of Gemini's multiple award-winning book, Your Legacy of Love: Realize the Gift in Goodbye, she'll be answering questions on love, loss and living from the 15th - 30th January, 2012.

[close] The goal of the book club would be to bring into community people who have experienced grief and loss in their lives and read books that could help give form to our thoughts and feelings surrounding these experiences and give us a chance to reflect on these challenging subjects.

The Grief Diaries is an online magazine of art and writing about loss, and this group is intended for our community to come together to discuss literature pertaining to grief, loss, and bereavement of all kinds. Selected books will cover topics ranging from loss of a loved one to other, less traditional definitions of grief. It's our hope that this space will allow our community to learn about and share resources, ideas, and testimonies that will contribute to a greater understanding of grief.
