The other 65% are made up of Kindred, beings born of magic who first came to Kaelynn during the Mythic Era. The prestige city guard, the Valkyries, attempt to mend the rift between the races due to the 100 Year War by making every human officer have a non-human partner. However even the high walls and deep waters can not block out prejudice, pride, and hate. The city's future looks awfully grim - with a war on the horizon.
