[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] Hi all - I am in the process of moving to Southwest Michigan (St. Joseph). I'm an avid reader and erstwhile home brewer and looking to meet local-ish folks who like good books and good beer (or wine, I suppose). My hope is to create or merge with a group of people around the St. Joseph / Benton Harbor area of Michigan, meet once a month at a rotating brewery, winery, or tap room (such as Tapistry or Cultivate) to discuss a book. Fully open to anything folks want to read, but hoping for a good mix of fiction & non-fiction. For instance: Ready Player One, I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You, Dead Wake, The Oregon Trail, Rousey, The Butterfly Mosque, Welcome to Braggsville, On Beauty. Not sure yet whether this would be a men's book club or co-ed. My wife would probably be interested in participating if the latter... This is my first foray creating a Goodreads Group or a more traditional book club, so please bear with me as I work out the bugs (or listen to the crickets).
