[close] Since the inception of the Latter Day Saints, things have gone awry. Groups have splintered off, polygamy has been practiced in unhealthy settings, and murders have been committed in the name of God. Plenty is written on the topic, but there is so much that is yet unwritten. Let's discuss.

[close] This is a group for those interested in the history, doctrine, and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Books are generally from ecclesiastical or institutional Church leaders (such as General Authorities or BYU professors), but may also include other peer-reviewed, scholarly contributors. In general, this group attempts to follow the admonition of D&C 88:118 - ". . . seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith."

[close] This is a book club for LDS women (or women respectful of the LDS/Mormon/The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints faith) to read and discuss books that we wouldn't feel guilty having on our bookshelves! All genres of books welcome, and all clean read suggestions are encouraged!
