[close] Telegram, the literary fiction imprint of Saqi Books, was founded in 2005 to publish the best in new and classic international writing, from debut novelists to established literary heavyweights. Telegram has brought cutting-edge and authoritative voices from the UK, Spain, North Africa, Korea, Hungary, France, China, the Middle East and beyond to readers with an appetite for "choice international fiction" (The Independent). Award-winning independent Saqi was started in 1983 to bridge the divide between Middle Eastern and Western cultures. Over the years, the list expanded to include writers from the Balkans, Afghanistan, Pakistan, France and the UK, with an expanding fiction list that prompted the establishment of Telegram.

[close] Book Madness 365 is one year of reading fun. Starting on January 1, 2012, Book Madness 365 invites book club enthusiasts to read and discuss books from various genres. Monthly challenges consist of four categories with the club reading at least 12 genres / sub-genres by the end of 2012.

[close] Between the Lines, formed in 2015, is a multicultural book club as one of the book clubs of St. Tammany Parish Library to increase awareness of literature, mostly fiction, of various ethnic groups and cultural awareness of various nationalities. For library card holders of St. Tammany Parish Library, a limited amount of print copies will be available for checkout at the Covington Branch. We will also have digital copies available for St Tammany Parish Library card holders. [close] This book forum is for parents who are raising children to love themselves and others. We feature support for parents raising African American and Black children, which includes parents of biracial children and adoptive parents of any ethnicity. There will be book recommendations to support parents and their children. As an educator, author, editor, and parent, I would love to connect with other parents who see the need for imparting solid literacy skills to their pre-school, kindergarten, early readers, emerging readers, and reluctant readers. From social emotional learning (SEL) to building literacy skills to developing academic excellence, our members believe books are a gateway to understanding the world around us and ourselves. As the saying goes, "Readers are leaders!"
