[close] Hello Sons of Norway members. This is a book club for Sons of Norway members and potential members interested in reading about Norwegian culture. We read about Norwegian history, biography, fiction, etc. Anything about Norway or our Nordic cousins is read by our book club. We also read a lot of Nordic mysteries. We meet once a month to discuss the two books we have read. One book is always something general about some aspect of Norwegian culture, history, etc. The second book is always a mystery by one of the many Nordic mystery authors. Our meetings are on the last Thursday of each month on Zoom. Our GoodReads forum allows us to discuss the books as we are reading them or just to leave notes about those books.

[close] Welcome to the Scandi Book Club! 🌲☕ Our club was created for everyone who is in love with the atmosphere of the North. We read and discuss books by authors from Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. There is a place for everything here: from chilling Nordic Noir and gripping psychological thrillers to cozy contemporary fiction in the spirit of hygge and lagom, sweeping family sagas, and rugged Northern history. (And sometimes, as an exotic exception, we will visit our neighbors in Iceland and Finland to experience their volcanic noir and deep forest magic!) What we do in our community: • Book of the Month: We cooperatively choose and read our main book through our community voting. • Spoiler-Free Discussions: We share honest reviews and thoughts in dedicated discussion threads. • Curated Recommendations: We build helpful bookshelves featuring the best authors of the Scandinavian trio. • Cozy Chats: We chat about all things bookish over a cup of hot tea. Join us, grab a warm blanket, and let’s read together! It is always warm in here, despite the northern winds. ✨
