[close] One of the most prestigious literary awards in the world, the Women’s Prize for Fiction – previously known as the Orange Prize for Fiction – celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing from throughout the world. We will read through the shortlist & time will tell if we shall continue on. :-)

[close] A group for readers of all genders who wish to broaden their reading horizons by reading more books by women authors. And more women authors that perhaps people haven't heard of before. We currently run two group reads each month: One monthly group read, each following a different theme (e.g. Classics, Sci-Fi, Translated Fiction, LGBT etc.) with the odd 'Open Choice' month. Our second group read alternates between Non-Fiction books, Women in Translation releases and books that fit our 'Read Around the World' challenge. Rules 1. This is not a women-only group. All genders are welcome, and all should be made to feel welcome. 2.That said, this group is intended to be a safe space. Disagreement is fine but harassment or trolling will not be tolerated. 3. Always remember that good feminism is intersectional! Authors 1. No self-promotion.
