[close] The Fiction Lover's Book Club meets at 6:30pm on the third Wednesday of most months at the Southwest Library, located at 900 Wesley Place, SW near Waterfront Metro. Our plan is to read a lively variety of fiction and nonfiction. Then we will meet to compare notes and enjoy each other's company. A reader becomes a member by attending a meeting and any interested party may learn more about the group by calling the Information Library at (202) 724-4298. Welcome!

[close] Ever wanted to join a book club but couldn't find one that matched your taste? Water 2 Wine is starting a book club where participants can enjoy a glass of wine while discussing the recently selected book. This event is free to the public. $5 glasses. Books will be selected monthly and each participant will be responsible for purchasing their own copy. Event is every last Tuesday of the month.

[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] Dedicated to the paperback horror novels of the 70's and 80's, the kind of books you would pull out of your backpack between classes to cram in a few pages. Some may cross into Sci-Fi or Apocalyptic fiction but it is always scary.
