[close] Considered by many (and by many, I mean "me") to be the best living novelist in the English language today, Nobel and Booker Prize winner in Literature J.M. Coetzee has an extensive shelf of intellectually gripping, doggedly challenging novels to his name, including Disgrace, Summertime, Elizabeth Costello, Foe, Slow Man, Waiting for the Barbarians, In the Heart of the Country, and many others. At once breathing the dry breath of the postmodern defiance and the lyrical warmth of submission, the cliche of the heart, Coetzee's work is like Arizona...it's a dry heat. If I can find enough people in the Cleveland area to discuss his works, I would love to have some meetings at a local bookstore or coffeehouse in the area. Please let me know if you're interested. Apart from that, I'd be glad to discuss Coetzee via discussion board, but will need help with posting discussion-topics

[close] When a large nuclear bomb fell upon America, the rest of the world suffered the effects. Mass nuclear winter has spread across the planet and dust clouds suffocate the sky. On the continent of Australia, people are doing their best to survive in the devastating wasteland. In this rp you act as a character who is doing what they do in the apocalypse. There are no restrictions to how your character behaves so long as you don't make them some sort of god. Feel free to try it out and if you don't particularly enjoy it, that's fine.
