[close] Nights are cold and damp at best. The wind howls through the hallway. The corridor is dark, chains rattle, and heavy footfalls echo from end to end. A single light flickers at one end and muffled voices can be heard. There is no hope. There is no improving. This is the end. Once through those doors, they will never see the light of day again. This is, after all, the final resting place for the world's worst criminals. Welcome to Hell. Welcome to Wakefield. Welcome! This group is an Rp based at a prison. Do not join unless you plan on being active. Rp as a prisoner or a guard. Rps per cell will be opened as soon as there are enough members in each cell. If you want to join and see that there are XXX+ posts in one cell, don't be discouraged. You can join and create a new cell where the rp will start at 0. So, kind of like a one on one but it should be a five member rp (four prisoners and one guard). The warden may move from cell to cell at will. Follow all rules. **Only three characters per member!!**

[close] Steve Martin will discuss his prison novel "Going Down", based on many years experience working in prisons. He welcomes questions on the novel or wider discussion of the depiction of prison, prisoners and crime in fiction. The group will run from May 4 to May 20.
