[close] Dear goodreads' readers Let me introduce myself. My name is Maria, and like you, I am an avid reader. In the past years I decided to start exploring writing and publishing in a more professional way. As a result, I have self-published two novels and I am currently studying MA Publishing at University of the Arts London. For one of my master's units I had to create a prototype. I had the freedom of choosing anything related to the publishing world, and I chose to crate a reading guide. Some of you may have never used reading guides in the past, and for the group of you that have, you might not have enjoyed it. From my own experience, the reading guides I have come across as a reader were a mere repetition of the content that was in the book, often making statements that made me feel I had not the freedom to read as I pleased. This is the reason why I am determined to create something different. Under a brand I have called ReadIn, I am in the process of developing the ReadIn Companion. The Companion is essentially a reading guide, but its objective is to improve and enrich the reading experience of the reader. Its design, layout and content are to interact with the reader and add value and excitement to the reading act. By joining this group, you will be helping the ReadIn Companion become a reality, sharing your thoughts and suggestions.
