[close] A group for fellow lovers of the flawed female protagonist, dark themes, depressing plots, dark humor, characters that make messy decisions but are “oh god that’s me” types of relatable, and everything else us fellow hot girl book enthusiast enjoy. Think of “my year of rest and relaxation”, “American psycho”, “boy parts, my dark Vanessa”, @cleopatra and Frankenstein” and so on. I’ve struggled with finding a blanket term for these kinds of books. They don’t necessarily all fall under the same genre. There is simply an aura that surrounds the pages that immediately lets you know you’re reading a hot girl book. Romance, historical fiction, sci fi, horror, comedy, nonfiction. There are no limits to what a hit girl book can be.
