[close] DEFINITIONS- "The Cozies" def.- A group of individuals who enjoy reading cozy mysteries usually in the comfort of sweats pants, sweets, and drinks. The real definition of "Cozy Mysteries"- are a subgenre of crime fiction in which sex and violence are downplayed or treated humorously, and the crime and detection take place in a small, socially intimate community. If this sounds like the club for you feel free to join. I've just gotten into this genre and would like to enjoy these books with others. Either real world or online is fine. Which ever one takes or it can be a mixture. WHAT YOU NEED- A good sense of humor, comfortable clothes or sweats, a store or a kitchen to have readily available sweets and drinks, internet for online meetings, and a copy of whatever book it is for that month. WHATS EXPECTED- The goal is to read one book a month. Would start with a book in a series and then read up to the next in the series or can get a sampling of cozy mystery series. Endless choices!
