[close] In 2032, advertisements went out all across the world asking for volunteer children between the ages of four and eleven. A hundred children from across the globe were gathered in Houston, Texas, and three years later, they were launched into space aboard the Polaris space shuttle. Operation Polaris began. The experiments started immediately. The children were put under anesthesia and, when they woke up they were.... different. Unnatural. Supernatural. During the experiments, scientists altered the children's genetic DNA, splicing it with the DNA of another animal, or just changing it all together. This gave the children abilities. Some could manipulate their body temperature while others could turn invisible. Over 40% of the children didn't survive the experiments at all. Two years after the launch of the Polaris, the oldest of children, now teenagers, fought back against their scientist captors. Many of them died but, in the end, they won. The few remaining scientists were locked away in cells and the teenagers took over the Polaris space shuttle.
