[close] magic lies at our fingertips ; our souls are coloured with its traces. ravenwood, massachusetts : a small town with many secrets — and one of them is magic. founded in 1692 as a refuge for those with extraordinary powers who were at risk of persecution in salem, the town has since become a haven for all those who can't fit into the non-supernatural world. and naturally, children came, unable to properly control their abilities. thus, ravenwood academy was founded, a school unlike any other. the gates are high, the tree-lined boundary wall sturdy, and the guards well-trained. here, they can learn safely, without fear of persecution or accidental injury. there is no pressure to attain perfect grades, nor to succeed — the town will support them irrespective of their own talents. they are not kept here against their will, and nobody will stop them if they choose to leave. ( the biggest question anyone has, most of the time, is how the school manages to take up so much space from inside, yet on the outside spans only a few square kilometres. simply put, the school is like a pocket of reality that can be extended as necessary )
