[close] Hate wasting time on mediocre books? This club is for you! We read from the Texas Library Association (TLA) 's annually nominated book lists. TLA provides several well-curated lists. These include the 2x2 (age 2-grade 2), Texas Bluebonnet Award (pleasure reading grades 3-6), Lone Star (recreational reading grades 6-8), Tayshas (high school reading), Lariat (outstanding yearly fiction that merits special attention from adult readers), Maverick (graphic novels grades 6-12), Little Maverick (graphic novels grades K-5), Tejas Star (bilingual reading (ages 5-12), Texas Topaz (Nonfiction gems for all ages), and the Spirit of Texas (encourage students to explore current, quality books by Texas authors and illustrators). Sit down a spell and share your opinions and guidance. Which reads are truly the best of the best?
