Translations

[close] This group explores European literature in translation (i.e. it generally excludes works originally written in English, but we are bound to wander at times). The group will use CounterPunch's list of "The best 100 novels in translation since 1900" as a foundation for traversing the realm of European literature. Every two months we will read a novel originating from the list. In the months in between we will read vintage works. At times we will also read works originating from other parts of the world to gain perspective. We will occasionally include poems, biographies and other nonfiction works to enhance our reading experience.
