Justice and Spirit: The Unitarian Universalist Book Club is a place where all who are interested in spirituality, religion, and social justice, whether Unitarian Universalist or not, can discuss books that relate to these crucial questions. [close] Suggest a Christian book that has helped you come out of the New Age or may help others come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

[close] The word "Bible" means "library". In this group we challenge each other to "create your own Bible". The first challenge is to choose 12 books (create a shelf for it) that contains the 12 books you commit yourself to read as self-cultivation, spiritual upliftment and sacred (important to you). The idea is to read these works "contemplatively". The group found its inspiration from Henry David Thoreau's book "Walden" especially chapter 3 called "Reading". PLEASE call the shelf that you create: "My Bible" or "My Sacred Texts"
