We currently feature a Book of the Month and a Book of the Quarter. All books are voted on as a group. We offer a lot of variety. You choose what you want to participate in. While the name is Bookworm Bitches, we are not a feminist group nor do we read female authors exclusively. We do not adhere to one theme or another. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

[close] كرّم الإسلام المرأة أيما تكريم ولم يمنعها من الخوض في مواهبها وحياتها ومزاولة النشاطات المختلفة طالما أنها لا تتعارض عمّا ينهاه إياه دينها وذلك بالطبع بما يصبُّ بمصلحتها وطبيعتها كأنثى ولكن ربما الآن تراجعت الآن هي ذاتها عن حقوقها وقبلت بالمنظور الجديد الذي فرضه المجتمع ومن حولها من الرجال عليها الإسلام صانها و حفظها و يسر لها الكثير من الأمور لم لا نتذكر حظوظها من الدين الإسلامي التي ربما لم تتذكرها ولم تعلم بوجودها بالأصل ؟ هنا ليست صرخة لتشجيع العمل و إشاعة التحرر أبداً هنا نقاش لتغيير النظرة لشخصية المرأة ذاتها إذاً هنا سنتعاون جميعاً على المساعدة بتغيير النظرة تجاهها بالبدأ بأنفسنا أنا أيضاً سأبدأ بنفسي وأغيّر نظرتي تجاه نفسي كل شخص يجب أن يعمل بما قرأ وبما تعلّم لنساعدها كي تكمل دينها على أكمل وجه .. نأخذ برأيها ونعتبرها موجودة نعم نبدأ بهنا باعتبارها موجودة :) أهلاً وسهلاً بكل حوار ونقاش حول هذا الموضوع بما ينفعها وبما يتماشى مع تعاليم الدين بالطبع طالما كان حواراً راقياً مرناً مهذبّاً أتشرف بانضمام الجميع إن كانت هي أو هو نسيت شيئاً آخر .. لا تتردد بفتح أي موضوع طالما أنه يصبُّ في مصلحة المرآة المسلمة والمجتمع الذي يعول عليها افتح أي موضوع تجده حولك ويجب أن يُصحح .. مفهوم ما سلوك ما .. فكرة فوجهة نظرك قد تحدث فرقاً ! :)

[close] The UT Arlington Women's Faculty & Staff Network Book Club This year we are focusing on books that foster diversity, professional growth, and wellness (broadly defined). Members of the WFSN Book Club will choose a book or two to read together during the semester. A goal for the 2020-2021 school year is to also do "live" book club virtual gatherings through Teams. Stay tuned for the Fall 2020 book club selection! We will also have an opportunity for you to share what you are reading with the "What I'm Reading" blog posts. We are always looking for good books in all genres. *Views are our own and do represent the views of our employer.
