I've never had, but it sounds good so I'll say YUM!
artichokes?

My birthday is August 20, and those who know me guess that I’m a Leo. They’re all right. My boyfriend and I are both fire elements so we butt heads a lot. I am also your typical summer baby and completely over this winter.

Okay y'all! It is officially November, which for many (too many) of us it means NaNoWriMo is in full swing. Any one else participating this year? I'm getting off to a late start after having to work all day today, but I plan to get back at it tomorrow.
So what is NaNoWriMo you ask? WELL! It is National Novel Writing Month--when writers from all over the world come together for 30 days and each try to crank out 50,000 words by the end of the month.
If you're participating, let's use this thread to chat about it and keep each other motivated while we cry through the carpel tunnel!

Okay guys I have another 5-star read! I just finished
Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 3 and I absolutely love this series!! I just ordered the next two. Anyone else into manga/anime? I highly suggest this series!

Oooooh another planet! I'll take the unknown of space over what I know lives in the deep dark ocean any day.
WYR only be able to eat pizza for the rest of your life or only tacos?
Hazel wrote: "Theresa wrote: "Bill Skarsgard. Just put him in everything" have you watched It 2 yet?"Yes!!!! I think I'm one of the few that liked this one better than part one. I also like Bill's Pennywise more than Tim Curry's, and I get a lot of heat for that too.
I started rewatching
Hemlock Grove on Netflix because I can just stare at him all day.

Yum!
Guacamole?

True! (A pup named Arya, and she's *wild*)
TNP is taking part in NaNoWriMo

Bill Skarsgard. Just put him in everything

Yum! In any and all forms
Raw oysters?

Thank you everyone! I will be trying ALL of this lol I feel like I’m looking for something with the right *mood* but I’m not even sure what that is???
I have some audiobooks I’ll try on my commute and see if that gives me my spark back! I have two graphic novels that are staring me in the face that I’ll pick up tonight and see what happens.
You are all amazing people so thank you ❤️❤️

In all of September I have finished a whopping three books. So I am here to ask all of you lovelies what do you do when a reading slump hits you? What are your tips and tricks?

Definitely YUM!
coffee?

I'm forever on team "there should never be a banned book" but I don't think it has the expected effects. I was once told by one of my high school english teachers that the best way to sell a book was to get it on a banned list because it would actually bring more publicity to it.
I've actually read a handful of the books you listed here, and I don't understand why banning any of these was necessary. Personally, I know
Thirteen Reasons Why gets a lot of heat for glamorizing suicide without starting a discussion on how its avoidable. The tapes come across as a method of revenge rather than a form of catharsis. At the same time, it made the signs more visible to those of us suffering from mental health issues or with friends who suffer. (I can't speak on the show, I've been avoiding it like a plague.)
For the most part, I feel like so many books end up on this list because the topics make people "uncomfortable" to read them. But we should be uncomfortable reading these, at least it means we're learning.
Okay, I'll end my rant there. But every book on this list is amazing and deserves to be in the hand of every child, teen, or adult that wishes to read and expand their world.

Any book!
I forgot he was in that. I haven’t seen (or read) it yet, but I remember seeing all of the TV spots for it and wanting to see it.

We've all read the announcements that our absolute, most favorite book is about to become a tv series or movie. I can't be the only one whose mind has gone into overdrive dream casting the whole thing *perfectly* only to be let down by the real thing.
Who would you cast as your favorite characters? Personally for me I would love to see Bill Skarsgard (
It,
Hemlock Grove) as Thomas Cresswell (less creepy than his traditional roles) from
Stalking Jack the Ripper. I also would love Cole Sprouse (
Riverdale) as Roo from
The Rest of the Story. Okay, just cast Cole Sprouse in anything??

Definitely beach!
WYR have the ability to fly or the ability to control the weather?

Yum! (Jury is still out on the turkey burger though)
Mushrooms?

Your a mod!!"Yay! Thank you :)

It's a yes! I am on Goodreads all the time. I would definitely participate in everything that I could. I'm just starting a new job in a week, and I don't know how quickly I could read to lead book discussions if it came down to that. I'll still be able to get on here more than once or twice a day, so it won't be an issue.
