Next book a publisher that will do the work. I think your writing deserves that. Once you're more widely known Paperboy can be released again.

It drives me crazy that the didn't even get the book into libraries. It drives me nuts that I've read things nominated for awards not nearly as good.

I think your work deserves representation and a major house.

I love the book as it stands. But I know that almost every time I have something published I want it back because I realize I'm not done with it. If you were sending it to the publisher today, would you send it exactly as is?

But you're making plans to do so?

That's really interesting. My first thought was that it's a better ending as it stands. My second thought is that I want to read that cut chapter. My third thought is that my first thought is probably correct. (Of course that's based on nothing but having read the book as it is, and not as it wasn't.)
