While I know it is very hard to pick a favourite there are some that have really stood out to me. Cassandra Clare's worlds are amazing, I love the Mortal Instruments, but I have to say I loved Infernal Devices even more.
Hi, my name is Chrystal and I am 20. I have a serious book addiction and am just looking for similar people to discuss books with.
Are there any suggestions or genres you want for March? Post your suggestions here and the top ones will be put to a vote.
Those are all good points. I also found the fact that she kept referring everybody as freaks when she has always been an outcast herself. Also in a lot of these YA fantasy books the main character seems to have great difficulty believing in the paranormal even when presented with evidence. It can be frustrating when characters obsess over guys, but at the same time the romance in these types of novels are important. These books tend to be even more popular when there is a love triangle and readers are forced to choose their favourite, for example in Twilight. We have Team Edward and Team Jacob.
Again with Twilight as an example these can be used to sell merchandise when you have hundreds of teens buying products to promote their favourite.
Again there is a lot to do with love, being torn between two guys. When it seems like she has made up her mind something else happens. She also discovers more of her powers.
At first I thought Kylie was a bit of a weak character. I know she was going through a lot of stuff, but sometimes her reactions seemed a little over the top. Then again who knows how any of us would react if we were thrown into that situation.
