102681 Is there a specific date for registration opening? I need to be sure I have the money at the right time.

102681 I'll be doing Subway. Get a full size sandwich, have half for lunch and the rest around the 5-6 o'clock time frame and I'll just need a snack later in the evening.

102681 Already know what I'm doing for lunch. There is a Subway at 806 3rd Ave. That will be lunch and probably dinner at or just before the signing. Might get something later at the Rendezvous as a late evening snack. Bringing some snack stuff with, too.

102681 Thanks for the info. My daughter and I are working on planning. Where to park, how to get back to the car after everything is over at the Rendezvous, how much we have to spend on books, how much we will need for transport, where to get meals during the event.

102681 Myself and two others are going to be driving in from Tacoma. Any idea on parking info? Good locations near the event, costs, how late they're open, or name and numbers so I can call about info? I know the library parking locks down too early to park there and still be able to do the evening events.

102681 I'll be driving in Saturday morning. What's parking like at the library? Can I leave me car there all day and into the evening? Or will I have to move it before the Happy Hour?

102681 Wow!!! Paid all the way back on May 23rd. Just got my confirmation email less than two hours ago. Was beginning to wonder if it would ever show up.

Hate to say it, but space 36 is not the last one.

Just the benefits of having nothing else to do. I'm self-employed/retired. Kids are grown(although the 22 years old still lives at home).

Plus, it was a friendly competion between mother and daughter to see who would finish first. I beat her by about 3 hours. :)
Now it will be interesting to see which of us completes it more times during the summer. :))

Know what you mean. That's why I finally decided to get around to reading the latest Mercy Thompson book that I've had but have been putting off. Means a reread of the rest of the series first. Hopefully that will keep me occupied all week.
Amtrak party! (136 new)

102681 Wish I could join you since it sound like great fun, but I'll be driving in from the coast and I can't afford to go day early and spend the night. :( Plus I don't think the dog would appreciate being left alone that long. :)
102681 Sounds like fun. I'll give it a try. :)

102681 Love this, and my daughter will too. We can just drive to this. Almost 3 hours each way but lot less expensive that something out of state. :) Can't wait.
