102730 Have Yourself a Merry Little Latte by Michelle Miles

All’s fair in love and coffee. In this war, the only thing that matters is a lot of hot steam!

Lilly owns the new up and coming, Java Perks. She’s determined to be the number one coffee house in town, crushing her competition down the street, The Bitter End.

Meeting the mystery woman in his coffee house, David immediately wants her for himself. After a hot encounter on his desk, he can’t stop thinking about her. Until he learns she’s the owner of the place trying to put him out of business.

When David confronts Lilly accusing her of using him, she throws down the gauntlet. Now the two are at war and may the best woman win!

Hello Deanette! Welcome to the PP group!
My thought about POV is you have to write what the story speaks. If your gut is telling you to leave it, then maybe you should. Are you writing from multiple POVs in the story? Does it feel richer with them instead of just one? Rewriting into first will be a giant pain in the butt. HOWEVER, if you think the story will be better in First, then go for it. If you wanted to take a scene and rewrite it as first to see how it feels, it might give you an idea what it would be like. Really, it's up to you and what kind of story you're trying to tell.

I hope that helps!

102730 Great stuff all! I'm reading two books: Assassin's Gambit by Amy Raby (fantasy romance) and Storm of Swords by George R R Martin (fantasy). Excellent reads both.

102730 Summer officially begins Memorial Day Weekend. What is on your summer reading/beach reads list?

My TBR list is woefully long but I'm going to try to get to the YA "Leviathan" plus I have a couple of SF books on my list that I got for Christmas. Currently I'm reading a fantasy romance from Alexis Morgan.

What about you?

102730 Okay WOW. I'm so behind!!

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the group and thank you for posting all your intros! I'm Michelle Miles, one of the PP gals who has been sorely lacking in posting here. Thank you, Liese, for setting up the thread!

I write fantasy, paranormal and contemporary romance. I'm published with Ellora's Cave and Samhain and some smaller houses. I'm currently trying my hand at self-pubbing a new sensual paranormal series called Guardians of Atlantis. I'm also writing a fantasy romance series for EC called Realm of Honor (all about knights, elves, fae, dragons and humans!).

When I'm not writing or reading, I love movies, cross-stitching, light gardening and watching hockey and baseball.

What are some of your favorite relaxing hobbies?
