Well I don't know about wonderful but it was a pretty good book. Towards the end it just got really twisted and dark. Makes some of the early depravity seem almost tepid. But, It kept me reading, thats for sure.

I am halfway through this. I sense a twist coming at the end...

The most appropriate recomendation I have for this group woul be House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. Check out the wiki page or some reviews.

I loved it when i read it back in 2000. Not sure how it holds up now. I guess i should re read to find out.

I might check that out at the risk of feeling like a sleazeball...

Roberto Bolano is in my top 3 for sure. Its not the oddest stuff I have read but its different.

Hi all, I guess I'm a musician on hiatus. I used to play drums for a band called Pistola out of NYC. We did some light touring, never had a label backing us.
I've been playing in bands since i was about 12 years old but havent been playing much the last year besides a couple shows at sxsw in March.

Anyway, besides all that my job allows that I can get a lot of reading done especially in the summers so I like to geek out on goodreads and all that. I used to exclusely read non-fiction but I'm into it all now, classics, american lit, magical realism, etc.

My job? well its not Horticulture but close- I got my MS in Aquaculture and now work in environmental science.
