103713 Jessica:

I have a trilogy of books that would be considered Young Adult Fiction (main audience is early teen boys). The Fluxion Trilogy is "hard science in a fantasy candy coating." This means that all the science in the books is real, but it's just contained in a fantasy context to make it more entertaining/easier to understand.

SYNOPSIS:
When does a hobby become an obsession?

Colorado has 58 mountains that tower above the landscape. 58 mountains that, when combined together, hold a certain amount of prestige amongst the natives. 58 mountains that have summits above 14,000 feet. These mountains are collectively known as the “fourteeners.” As beautiful as Colorado is, its mountains have a certain addicting quality that keeps us coming back for more.

This is a story of a father and son who managed to climb them all . . . together. Along the way, they learned how dangerous these mountains could be but they also bonded as father and son over the ever-present striving to be on top of the tallest points in the area.
