I'm not signed for that one, but you might go look at who has shelved the book and see if there's anyone you can connect with that way?
Hi, my name is Amelia! I'm an experienced Alpha/Beta/ARC reader and I'm starting a freelance proofreading service! I’m excited to help authors polish their stories and make their words shine—so to celebrate my launch, I’m offering 50% off projects for a limited time and to limited customers! Your honest review after the project would mean the world to me.‘Amelia was an early ARC reader for one of my projects that included a typo-catch contest and she caught so many more errors than anyone else, I told her she was making our proofreader’s job too easy. She is an excellent close reader and a natural editor.’
— Jayne Starwing, Author of the Byrdfyre series and co-author of The Lightbringers as Sera Foxe
A bit about me: my favorite book genre is romance and I’ll read any subgenre of romance novel! However, I'm happy to proofread any manuscript, not just romance manuscripts. I am new to professional proofreading, but have always been a bit of a grammar freak. I'll help ensure your writing is polished and professional. Let me help make your words shine!
With every order, you'll receive:
A tracked changes document showing all edits and suggestions
A clean copy ready for publication after you review the suggested edits
Your choice of editing in Microsoft Word or Google Docs
Why hire a proofreader? Overlooked mistakes in a published book often stand out like a sore thumb and interrupt the flow of the story. Readers want to be immersed in your story, not stumbling over errors! A proofreader brings a fresh, detail-oriented perspective to catch those last-minute mistakes that could distract readers or undermine credibility. A clean, error-free story will leave a stronger impression and pave the way to good reviews.

Nina, I typically prefer ebooks for quick reading, but in this case I think you're right that a hard copy would be best for referencing! I'll see if I can send you a message through GR. 😊
Nina, sorry for the delayed response, the notification got buried in my feed. Yes, I'm interested in reading your book!
Liz, you mentioned editing errors for beta readers, is that something commonly expected? I've only done a couple beta reads so far, but when I've asked the authors what they're looking for, they usually mention pacing, characters, plot, etc, but not editing, so I'm not sure proofreading mistakes would be appropriate to point out. I am a close reader and editing mistakes jump out to me. It grinds on me just a bit to skim over them, but I figure that the author will be hiring an editor at a later point in the writing process.
Nina, I might be interested. I've been looking at getting into freelance editing/proofreading myself. Would you recommend your book for me?
Hi, I was thinking about this again and didn't see an email response from you yet. Are you still looking for reviewers? :)
