Hi, I'd be delighted to give you a copy of my magical realism novel about family, secrets, and trust. Here's a link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...It's the second book in a series but can stand alone. Although one main character is a teenager, it is not a YA book.
Please let me know if you want a free copy.
Thanks, Laura
Well, you sure have a good response here! If you still are looking for something to review here's my offering: I Once Was Lost, But Now I’m Found: Daisy and the Rescue of the OAS Dogs, by Laura Koerber
I Once Was Lost, But Now I’m Found, is a narrative of the rescue of 124 dogs from the Olympic Animal Sanctuary, a hoarding situation in Forks, Washington. The rescue took several years and included small town political corruption, intimidation, protests, assault, lawsuits, and an attempt by the owner to run away with the dogs jammed into a semi truck. It was the largest dog rescue in the US to be carried out without support of local government.
The biography of one dog, Daisy, is used as vehicle for informing readers about hoarders, failed rescues, law enforcement issues, trainers and behaviorists, and actions people can take when they become aware of abuse or neglect. The book is heavily illustrated with photos from the police file and the research is supported with documentation obtained through the Open Meetings Act
All proceeds donated to the rescues that ultimately received the dogs. .
It is available at Amazon as a paperback and as a Kindle download. The ASIN is B075FWWG73.

I would be delighted to send you either a free ebook or a hardcopy.
I hope you will consider reviewing this book. Thank you, Laura Koerber

Are you still taking books for review? I have a collection of short stories that was listed on Kirkus as one of the one hundred best indy books of 2015. The stories are realistic. Here's an except from a review: . Kearney’s prose is elegant and unfussy, with threads of humor and lyricism. She has an excellent eye for settings and ear for dialogue, and she treats her characters, and their relationships with their pets, with a cleareyed, unsentimental sensitivity and psychological depth. Through their struggles, she shows readers a search for meaning through the humblest acts of caretaking and companionship. A superb collection of stories about the most elemental of bonds. “

Are you interested in non-fiction? I wrote an account of the rescue of 124 dogs from a hoarder who was running a fake dog rescue. He had a national reputation and a donor income of over two hundred thou a year, but dogs died of starvation and thirst while kept stacked up in crates in a warehouse. The rescue was unique in that it succeeded without support from local authorities. Its a story of protests, an assault, lawsuits, local political corruption and, ultimately, the rescue of the dogs. All proceeds are donated to dog rescue. Here is a link so you can read more about this book, if interested: https://www.amazon.com/Once-Was-Lost-...I will gladly send a pdf or give a copy as a gift to your Kindle. Thank you, Laura
Would you be interested in a non-fiction book is it is the biography of a dog? My book is the account of the rescue of 124 dogs from a fake sanctuary in Forks, WA. The rescue was a unique event because it was managed without support of local authorities. The story features protests, lawsuits, as assault and two arrests, locl political corruption and an attempt by the hoarder to run away with the dogs packed in the back of a semi-truck. I used one dog, Daisy, as the spine of the story. All proceeds from the sales of my books goes to dog rescues.
