Hi Sheila, I read the book Mr. Darcy’s Pursuit by Rose Lyons. I enjoyed the book. The story began with Elizabeth and Darcy falling for each other while at Pemberley. Caroline ends up compromising Darcy and Bingley make sure Darcy marries her. Darcy finds out on their wedding night that she has had previous relationships and throws her from their bedroom. Elizabeth’s heart Is broken and decides to leave the country to India with the Gardiners. Georgiana hates Caroline and decides to join Elizabeth. Darcy leaves Caroline at Pemberley with strict instructions that that she does not change anything and decides to travel behind Elizabeth and Georgiana. Darcy and Elizabeth have very deep conversations but, she honors that he is married. Caroline writes to Lady Catherine to fund her trip over seas. Everyone is surprised to see Caroline join them. Caroline gets herself killed. The Colonel is injured and recovers with Georgiana’s care. Lydia is involved with a captain and is happy. Eventually Darcy and Elizabeth have their happy ever after. There are mature scenes that are tastefully done. The book is different than the original story that is available on line. Since the book is no longer available on Amazon I cannot send it to you because, I think you would like it.
Good luck house hunting. There is nothing like a garden, It nourishes the soul as well as the plants.

I am overwhelmed with the amount of plagiarized stories on Amazon right now. Amazon is slow to remove the stories in some cases. These stories have a electronic footprint with dates attached to them so, I would think it would be easy to prove it is the original authors work. A key to noting the plagiarized stories is that there is no look inside and the description blurb says little about the book. Also no information about the author with a bland cover for the book. I have been writing one star reviews on the books that are plagiarized. Rose is correct that you have to carefully write your review. What is helpful is to hit the helpful button everyday on the one star reviews. Meryton has a file for plagiarized stories if anyone want to go an check out what books are in question. I also wrote a one star reviews in Goodreads on the plagiarized stories. What these thieves do is to look for stories with an author who has not written anything in a few years. What they don’t know is that a Pride and Prejudice readers remember things.
God Bless you Jeanne! Get some help if possible when your husband comes home. Look into some support groups for Alzheimer’s/ Parkinson’s. They have plenty of information and support.
Sheila- Prayers and blessings to your brother. Jeanne- Prayers and blessings to your husband. Hopefully he will be home soon. Hopefully the confusion will end when the infection is under control.
