1040462 Elin, actually it's the readers who should thank you writers who weave such beautiful stories and take us to a different world where we could all exist for a few hours connecting with the beloved characters. I really enjoyed your story and its subtle humour. I also mean it when I say I still have so many others which I had to leave out half heartedly. Anyway, thanks to all you writers who gave us such pleasure.

Impertinent Elizabeth and taciturn Darcy, what's not to like?
7. Mischief and Mayhem - Christie Capps
Very light hearted story. Loved Master Bennet.
8. These dreams - Nicole Clarkston
Dark themed story with traumatized Darcy with a sigh worthy connection with Elizabeth
9. The subsequent proposal - Joana Starnes
Nice mashup of Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion
10. Pemberley ranch - Jack Caldwell
Good southern story in post civil war era.
11. The secret betrothal - Jan Hahn
Good twist and great plot.
12. 1932 - Karen M. Cox
Loved the premise and the writing.

I know I'm cheating by adding extra but couldn't think of excluding any of these. In fact, I have some more serious contenders I had to leave out.

1040462 Abigail, I really have to thank you for your choice. It was a beautiful book. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking and everything in between. Every character, every sequence, every emotion was so enjoyable and relatable. I loved every minute of reading it. Now I look forward to reading the Colonel.

1040462 I finished All Hallow's eve by Wendy Sotis and it was very much in keeping with the theme. I liked it. It was very different. I liked the entire Bennet family. I especially loved the famous Catherine De Bourgh - Elizabeth confrontation. It was devilicious. If you haven't read it and you are a fan of the fantasy genre, I would recommend it. I felt that the final confrontation of Elizabeth with the evil force could've been more descriptive and dramatic. It sort of felt too short. Otherwise, good read.

1040462 Gretchen, if you liked Black Moth you'll definitely like These Old Shades which is its sequel. Try it.

1040462 That is one very good book Dana! Very different!
1040462 Great author. I would definitely recommend Venetia, The grand Sophy, Black sheep, Arabella and Frederica. These old shades and Devil's cub are also very good books. The heroines in all these books are great but the hero is better in These old shades. Actually, it improves on the second read. Regency buck and Masqueraders are also good choices.

1040462 Great idea. I agree with Abigail about Karalynn but since I've read all her books except the latest one, I'm choosing "All Hallow's Eve" by Wendy Sotis.

1040462 Sorry the book was not up to your expectation. I too have it on by TBR list. Now I will push it back till I get desperate.
