will you please allow me to make a really bad joke and say that my favorite ship is the current of faith?

1042590 I completely forgot to update but I finished the book about a week ago and I loved it so so much! reading it a second time made me appreciate it so much more and I miss the characters and the world already, so I can't wait until we can start The Speaker! I think I remember loving that one even more than the first so I'm super excited

1042590 it's been a while since I updated but a few things: 1) it's ridiculous how much I love this book, 2) it's so so fun seeing all these people being mentioned that you meet in later books because I'd totally forgotten they'd been mentioned at all, 3) I love all the characters so much and Haldon Lac is my son, 4) I kinda want to take this book, go for a drive and read it while sitting near the sea because that seems like the perfect way to consume this

Oh you know I love them both so much, but I adore Archer's character so much because he can be so incredibly brutal and scary, but also so, so soft. And the OCD rep in Reed's character? YES

1042590 I finally forced myself to sit down and read some more today and I reached the 8 chapter mark! (a little bit more than that but YAY.)
The Reader trilogy is my favorite series and I was so scared to reread it because what if I didn't like it anymore, but then I read the little introduction at the beginning, immediately got chills and I knew I didn't have anything to be worried about. And it's like I'm loving it even more the second time around? You just spot so many more tiny things and little foreshadowings and just... Traci Chee is a GENIUS.
I love how athmospheric her writing is, how intricate this world is, I love all of the characters and I'm so excited to get to know them again, just, AH. And the first time I read this I read it as an audiobook so I never really noticed how cool the formatting is but? The bloody fingerprints on the pages? The hidden messages? It's all so amazing.
I realize I'm just rambling but AH I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK and I'm so excited for you all to read it too!! I really hope you will all like it.

It's supposed to be that way! There's some alternative formatting in the book (like, the physical book has blood stains on some pages and secret messages if you look closely) and the reason why will make sense later on!

CANDE HI the first time I read this book I listened to it as an audiobook and I really liked it, but there are a few little clues and things that are in the physical book that you might miss. But I'm not sure if they're in the ebook either so, uh... Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong either way, both are excellent.

1042590 Hi everyone! I'm Laura and I blog over at Green Tea & Paperbacks. The Sea of Ink and Gold series is my favorite SFF series and I've never reread it because 1) I just don't usually reread books and 2) I was terrified that I might like them less a second time around. But I started my reread yesterday and I'm very happy to report that I'm still very much in love with the book!

Anyway, apart from reading and blogging I also love to bake, journal, play stardew valley and listen to music. And if drinking tea is in fact a hobby (I vote yes!) then it's definitely one of mine as well.

I'm very excited to be reading this series with you all, and I'm looking forward to seeing your updates!
