Lea I absolutely agree! I'm hoping with the new director the second movie will be better. There was not enough dialogue to develop the characters (even Kantiss seemed flat) and I know that they can't include everything but I felt like certain scenes they cut from right when the games end should have been included to develop the relationship.

I figure I will get this thing going as I'm dying to discuss this book. It was the first pick for my book club but I was the only one to finish it.

Maybe we should start with a check in to see who has read the book and who is planning on starting it. If needed we can split into two threads. For those who haven't started it I will just say that my experience was that it takes a bit to really get going so stick with it!

Are we going to run this like a book club where we read a new book or discuss books we have already read? I really want to talk to the ladies that have read Casual Vacancy. I was the only one in my book club who finished it.
