Based on the first two books ( it's been awhile since I read them), I thought she and Rose had a very strange dependent relationship probably because of the blood thing they had.

I agree. I can see people being upset. They want a book not to pay her entire living expense. Also 7,000? That seems a bit much for one book. I don't think she deserve the torment. However, she would have been better publishing the book normally or selling independently.
